Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali) has conducted employee profiling through the mapping and assessment of managerial and socio-cultural potential and competencies. The activity took place at the Computer Laboratory of Bali Tourism Polytechnic and is a key step in implementing a merit-based system in the management of civil service human resources.
This profiling initiative is the result of a collaboration between Bali Tourism Polytechnic, the Indonesian State Civil Service Agency (BKN), and the Ministry of Tourism. The assessment was carried out using the Computer Assisted Competency Test (CACT) method, which allows for objective, standardized, and technology-based evaluations.
A total of 20 participants holding functional positions at Bali Tourism Polytechnic participated in this activity. Employees were assessed based on two main dimensions: Managerial competence, which includes leadership, decision-making, and team management; and Socio-cultural cometence, which covers adaptability, cross-cultural communication, and integrity in public service.
This initiative aims to support the comprehensive and sustainable implementation of a merit system within Poltekpar Bali, particularly in the development of talent management. It is a concrete step toward building a professional, accountable, and performance-based bureaucracy.
Through this activity, Bali Tourism Polytechnic hopes to strengthen its merit-based human resource management system and realize a professional bureaucracy that is adaptive to the current challenges and demands of public service.
In collaboration with BKN RI and the Ministry of Tourism, Bali Tourism Polytechnic conducted the Computer Assisted Competency Test (CACT) on May 22, 2025, at Bali Tourism Polytechnic Computer Laboratory. The activity was attended by 20 civil servants in functional positions as part of implementing merit-based talent management.
