Bali Tourism Polytechnic Successfully Holds its 47th Anniversary Celebration with Culture as the Main Theme

Nusa Dua, March 25, 2025 – Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali) successfully held the peak event of its 47th Anniversary celebration with the participation of the entire academic community of Bali Tourism Polytechnic. The 47th Anniversary celebration carried the theme “Kilau Suvarna Hamsa,” which translates to “The Golden Radiance of the Swan.” As a center of excellence in tourism and culture, BiTP used this anniversary moment as a platform to inspire creativity in modern art by blending tradition with innovation.

The peak event of the 47th Dies Natalis began with an open session of the Senate and a scientific oration. Representing the Ministry of Tourism, Dr. Andar Danova L. Goeltom, S.Sos., M.Sc., Assistant Deputy for Human Resources Capacity Building and Vocational Education, attended the event. In a special gesture, Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes., Director of BiTP, presented a book written by the academic community of Poltekpar Bali to Dr. Andar as a tangible proof of Poltekpar Bali’s existence as an educational institution contributing to tourism development in Indonesia.

The festive atmosphere of the 47th Anniversary celebration was filled with various artistic performances, including the Belibis Dance, Maestro Band, and the stunning “Kilau Suvarna Hamsa” performance. Prior to the peak event, a series of activities had taken place, including an opening ceremony, a fun walk, seminars, the release of baby turtles, the Student Organization Festival, Poltekpar Mengajar, and the Jegeg Bagus Poltekpar Bali competition. In addition to the artistic performances, the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Indonesia, Tanya Dimitrova, Ph.D., was also present to present on the development of tourism in Bulgaria.

During this special occasion, the Director of BiTP proudly announced a series of achievements that the institution had attained in its 47 years, including Poltekpar Bali’s recognition as the best tourism university according to SINTA, serving as the host for the international UN Tourism on Women Empowerment in the Asia & Pacific event, and the positioning of Poltekpar Bali’s Tourism Journal as SINTA 3. “We are also proud that our students were able to achieve the best results by winning First Place at the World Food Competition in India, defeating 160 participants from 40 countries,” added Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Puja. The Director also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members of the academic community, including the management, lecturers, educational staff, and students, for their continuous hard work and dedication to Poltekpar Bali.

As is tradition every year, the peak of the Dies Natalis event also included the announcement of the overall winner, the department with the highest score in the internal competitions held during the 47th Anniversary celebration. The department that earned the title of Overall Winner received a perpetual trophy. This year, the Hotel Management Study Program (PPH) received the title of Overall Winner. The peak event of the 47th Dies Natalis was officially marked by the cutting of a ceremonial cone by the Director of Poltekpar Bali, accompanied by the management and the Assistant Deputy for Human Resources Capacity Building and Vocational Education of the Ministry of Tourism.

The Opening Ceremony and Peak Event of Poltekpar Bali’s Dies Natalis were the result of the creativity and contributions of the students from the Convention and Event Management Study Program (PKA) at BiTP. The 47th Dies Natalis activities exemplified the practical learning experiences in event organization. This serves as a tangible demonstration of the readiness of Poltekpar Bali students to face the workforce in the tourism and hospitality industries.
