Nusa Dua – The Room Division Study Program at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali) continues to demonstrate its commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry through the Project-Based Learning (PBL) Dissemination Seminar held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. The event marked a milestone in the strategic collaboration between Poltekpar Bali and RedDoorz Indonesia, where students presented outcomes from core subject projects including front office management, housekeeping, and human resource management. This initiative also exemplifies the implementation of the Collaborative Class model in support of achieving key performance indicators (IKU) in vocational education.

During the seminar, RedDoorz’s Head of Government Relations, Gusti Raganata, expressed his appreciation for the students’ work, highlighting its relevance and direct alignment with the hospitality industry’s needs. Presentations ranged from employee training modules and operational system digitalization to strategies for improving online hotel reviews. These outputs were deemed capable of enhancing service quality and property management efficiency. RedDoorz even confirmed plans to adopt several student recommendations for field implementation—an acknowledgment of the practical and strategic value of their work.

As part of its commitment to human capital development, RedDoorz awarded full scholarships to two outstanding students: I Ketut Deni Saputra Yasa from the Room Division Study Program and Ai Rainaya Cahyani from the Hospitality Accounting Management Study Program. The scholarship ceremony also symbolized RedDoorz’s dedication to competency-based vocational education aligned with industry needs. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Poltekpar Bali and RedDoorz, reinforcing a long-term partnership between the two institutions.

This event served not only as an academic platform but also as a concrete model of synergy between academia and industry. “Through this project, students are encouraged to conduct analysis, evaluation, and formulate direct improvement strategies for hotel operations,” said Dr. I Gusti Ayu Putu Wita Indrayani, Head of the Room Division Study Program. She emphasized the vital role of intensive mentoring by faculty and industry professionals in shaping students’ skills and professionalism. The philosophy of hands-on learning in vocational education was clearly reflected throughout the seminar.

As a proud outcome, RedDoorz openly declared its intent to integrate several of the student-developed PBL outputs into their operational system. These include standardized training for housekeeping staff and digital-based strategies to enhance front office services. This recognition stands as a testament to how project-based learning can generate tangible, applicable solutions that contribute directly to the transformation of the hospitality industry.
