Bali, March 2025 – Bali Tourism Polytechnic, Tourism Travel Business Study Program (UPW), is proud to announce its active involvement in various academic and collaborative programs to support the development of the sustainable tourism industry. As part of a global initiative, this program continues to strengthen students’ insights through various educational activities and experience exchanges with international institutions.
One of the flagship programs recently held was the involvement of the UPW Study Program in the Student Mobility activity with UCSI University Malaysia, themed ‘Nurturing Diversity, Promoting Sustainability.’ This event lasted for five days and aimed to enhance cross-cultural understanding between students from Indonesia and Malaysia.
During this event, students from the Tourism Travel Business Study Program participated in a campus tour to introduce the academic facilities of Bali Tourism Polytechnic to UCSI Malaysia students and faculty. Additionally, the program also included a sharing session held at the Postgraduate Building of Bali Tourism Polytechnic. In this session, students from various study programs, including Tourism Travel Business, shared insights into innovative travel management strategies and sustainable approaches in the tourism industry. Students from the Tourism Travel Business Study Program, namely Lauren and Kirana, participated in the event, joining all activities and observing tourism objects. They also honed their guiding skills by introducing and explaining the visited tourist attractions to the faculty and students from UCSI Malaysia.
Faculty and students from UCSI Malaysia expressed appreciation for this activity, which not only strengthened academic relations but also opened up opportunities for further collaboration in the tourism sector. “Through this activity, we learned a lot about how the tourism industry in Bali is developed with a focus on sustainability. This is an incredible opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences,” said one of the participants from UCSI Malaysia.
In conclusion, the cross-cultural discussion session and observation activities at tourist attractions became valuable moments in building stronger relationships between students and faculty from both institutions. The Tourism Travel Business Study Program at Bali Tourism Polytechnic hopes that through programs like this, students will continue to innovate and develop their competencies in an increasingly competitive tourism industry.
